  • colorful craft paper or cardstock use different colors or patterns
  • glue or double-sided tape for assembling the tree

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Choose your preferred paper colors and patterns. Use a ruler and pencil to measure and mark triangles or conical shapes in several different sizes.
  2. Step 2: Carefully cut along the marked pencil lines with scissors to create multiple triangles of varying sizes.
  3. Step 3: Start with the largest triangle as the base. Apply glue or double-sided tape and stack the smaller triangles on top to form a layered Christmas tree shape.
  4. Step 4: Gently hold the paper pieces together for a few seconds until the adhesive grips securely. Allow the adhesive to set before decorating.
  5. Step 5: Decorate the finished tree with glitter, stickers, stars, small paper ornaments, or other festive embellishments.

Notes

Use recycled paper from old greeting cards, wrapping paper, magazines, or other suitable materials for a more eco-friendly version. Experiment with different sizes and shapes, or cut slits into the paper pieces and interweave them to create a three-dimensional effect.
