Ingredients
  

For the Galaxy Ornaments
  • clear plastic or glass ornaments
  • acrylic paints black, blue, purple, white, and glitter
  • paintbrushes various sizes
  • cotton balls optional
  • Liquitex pouring medium optional
  • gloves to keep hands clean
  • water for rinsing brushes
  • paper towels for cleanup
  • newspaper or plastic sheet to protect the workspace

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Lay down newspaper or a plastic sheet to protect your work surface. Gather all of your materials and place them within easy reach.
  2. Step 2: Remove the top of the ornament and add a small amount of black acrylic paint inside. Slowly swirl the ornament so the paint coats the entire interior surface.
  3. Step 3: Add drops of blue and purple paint inside the ornament. Gently tilt and rotate the ornament so the colors blend together and create a beautiful galaxy effect.
  4. Step 4: Use white acrylic paint to add small stars throughout the galaxy. A fine paintbrush or dotting tool works well. Add glitter for an extra sparkling celestial effect.
  5. Step 5: For a soft nebula-like appearance, place a few cotton balls inside the ornament if desired. Allow the ornament to dry completely before replacing the top.

Notes

Experiment with different color combinations to create a unique galaxy. You can replace cotton balls with small pieces of tulle for added texture. For a more professional finish, consider using a clear coat spray after the ornament has dried completely. Always make sure paints and finishing products are suitable for the material of your ornament.
