Ingredients
  

For the Pasta Bake
  • 12 oz penne pasta This is the perfect shape to hold onto all that creamy sauce.
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp olive oil For sautéing the garlic and shrimp to perfection.
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream This gives the dish its rich, creamy texture.
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded, for topping
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning A blend of herbs that enhances the flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Step 3: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Step 4: Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Step 5: Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Add the Parmesan cheese and half of the mozzarella cheese, stirring until melted and combined.
  6. Step 6: Combine the cooked pasta with the shrimp and sauce mixture, mixing until evenly coated.
  7. Step 7: Transfer the pasta mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  8. Step 8: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Step 9: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. If you want to reheat it, pop it back in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until heated through.
