Equipment

  • Grater or Sharpener

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your iron to a low setting without steam.
  2. Step 2: Grate the blue crayons into small shavings.
  3. Step 3: Cut two pieces of wax paper to your desired size.
  4. Step 4: Place one piece of wax paper on a flat surface.
  5. Step 5: Sprinkle the crayon shavings evenly over the wax paper.
  6. Step 6: Top with the second piece of wax paper.
  7. Step 7: Place a piece of parchment paper over the wax paper sandwich.
  8. Step 8: Carefully press the iron on top of the parchment paper for a few seconds.
  9. Step 9: Once cooled, cut the wax paper into your desired shapes.
  10. Step 10: Use a hole punch to create a hole at the top of each shape.
  11. Step 11: Thread the string or fishing line through the hole for hanging.
  12. Step 12: Display your blue crayon suncatchers in a sunny window.

Notes

Store suncatchers flat in a cool, dry place when not in use. Update their look by cutting them into new shapes.
