  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter Adds richness and depth to the steak bites.
  • 4 cloves garlic Freshly minced for that savory kick.
For the Fries
  • 2 large russet potatoes Ideal for homemade fries that are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil Helps to crisp up your fries beautifully.
For the Salad
  • 4 cups mixed greens A fresh base for your salad.
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes Sweet and juicy, they add fun crunch!
  • 1/4 medium red onion Thinly sliced for a bit of zing.
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinaigrette A zesty dressing to tie the salad together.

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • baking sheet
  • Large bowl

Method

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss the cut potatoes with olive oil and salt. Spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy, flipping them halfway through for even cooking.
  2. Step 2: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Season the steak pieces with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes until browned, stirring occasionally. Add the minced garlic and the remaining butter to the skillet. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the steak is cooked to your desired doneness.
  3. Step 3: In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion. Drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette and toss to combine.
  4. Step 4: Plate the steak bites alongside the fries and the fresh green salad. Garnish the steak bites with chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat the steak bites in a skillet for the best texture. Fries can be reheated in the oven to regain their crispiness. The salad is best enjoyed fresh, but you can store the ingredients separately if you want to save it for later.
