Ingredients

  • 12 ounces spaghetti, cooked Your favorite pasta shape works, but spaghetti always feels classic for a reason!
  • 1 pound frozen meatballs, thawed Using frozen is a total cheat code for a quick meal!
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce Choose your favorite brand for that signature smoky sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup honey Adds that lovely touch of sweetness that balances the tang.
  • 1/4 cup ketchup A little bit of tang and a lot of classic flavor.
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar This is where the magic tang comes from!
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Because garlic makes everything better.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder For a little extra savory depth.
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika This gives it that authentic BBQ depth and a hint of smokiness.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste Just to make sure all those flavors are perfectly balanced.
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish A little green makes it look as good as it tastes!

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Large Pot

Method

  1. Step 1: Grab a large skillet and place it over medium heat. Now, pour in your barbecue sauce, honey, ketchup, and apple cider vinegar. Add in the garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Give it all a good stir until everything is beautifully combined and smooth. This is the flavor base for our meatballs!
  2. Step 2: Gently add your thawed meatballs into the skillet with the sauce. Toss them around until they’re all coated in that glorious BBQ mixture. Let them simmer for about 10-12 minutes. I like to give them a stir every now and then to make sure they’re heating through evenly and getting coated with all that deliciousness. You'll know they're ready when they're warm all the way through.
  3. Step 3: Once your meatballs are perfectly heated, it’s time to introduce the star of the show: your cooked spaghetti! Add it right into the skillet with the meatballs and sauce. Toss everything together gently until every strand of pasta is coated in that sweet and tangy BBQ goodness. Oh, the aroma in your kitchen right now must be incredible!
  4. Step 4: Give your pasta a little taste and season with salt and pepper if you think it needs it – sometimes the sauce has enough salt, but it’s always good to check! Sprinkle a little chopped fresh parsley over the top for a pop of color and freshness. Serve it up immediately and get ready for the compliments!

Notes

If you prefer it spicier, just add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the sauce mixture. For a richer sauce, stir in a dollop of sour cream or cream cheese at the end.
