Method

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Step 2: Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook bacon strips just until pliable but not crispy, to make them easier to wrap.
  3. Step 3: In a small bowl, mix honey and BBQ sauce until well combined to make the sticky glaze.
  4. Step 4: Wrap each mozzarella cube snugly with a strip of the partially cooked bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  5. Step 5: Arrange bacon-wrapped cheese pieces on the prepared baking sheet, spacing evenly.
  6. Step 6: Brush each bomb generously with the honey BBQ sauce mixture.
  7. Step 7: Bake for 15-20 minutes until bacon is crispy and cheese is melted inside.
  8. Step 8: Serve hot and enjoy. Optionally dip into extra BBQ sauce.

Notes

Substitute mozzarella with pepper jack or smoked gouda for different flavors. Use turkey bacon for a leaner option. Add hot sauce or cayenne to the glaze for spiciness. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge up to 3 days. Reheat in a 350°F oven for 10 minutes to crisp bacon again.
