Method
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 2: In a bowl, combine barbecue sauce, honey, soy sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Step 3: Toss the chicken drumsticks in the sauce mixture until fully coated.
- Step 4: Arrange drumsticks on a foil- or parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 35–40 minutes, turning and basting with leftover sauce halfway through.
- Step 5: While chicken cooks, boil potatoes in salted water for 15–20 minutes until tender. Drain and mash with butter and milk. Season with salt and pepper.
- Step 6: In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add carrots, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Cook 10–12 minutes until tender and glossy, stirring occasionally.
- Step 7: Plate the drumsticks with mashed potatoes and glazed carrots. Serve immediately.
Notes
Marinate drumsticks ahead for deeper flavor. Swap drumsticks with thighs or wings if preferred. Add cayenne pepper for heat. Store leftovers separately in airtight containers in the fridge up to 3 days. Reheat drumsticks in the oven to keep glaze sticky.
