Method
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking tray with foil for easy cleanup.
- Step 2: Arrange the sliced onions evenly on the tray. Place the salmon fillet on top of the onions to keep it moist.
- Step 3: Brush salmon with olive oil and melted butter. Sprinkle Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper evenly over the salmon.
- Step 4: In a bowl, toss shrimp with minced garlic, olive oil, Cajun seasoning, and chili flakes if using. Spread shrimp around the salmon on the tray.
- Step 5: Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until salmon flakes easily and shrimp turn pink.
- Step 6: Remove from oven, drizzle lemon juice over seafood, sprinkle chopped parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
Keep an eye on shrimp to avoid overcooking. Serve with buttery mashed potatoes or fresh salad for a balanced meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge up to 2 days.
