Ingredients
  

For the Southern Garlic Butter Shrimp & Steak
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb steak cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cups cooked rice leftover rice works well
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
Salt and pepper
  • 1 cup bell peppers diced
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 2 green onions sliced for garnish

Method
 

  1. Step 1: In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the steak pieces, seasoning them with salt, pepper, paprika, and Cajun seasoning. Cook until browned and cooked to your desired doneness, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Step 2: In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Toss in the minced garlic, diced bell peppers, and chopped onion. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender and aromatic.
  3. Step 3: Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until they turn pink and opaque.
  4. Step 4: Stir in the cooked rice and the reserved steak, mixing everything thoroughly until heated through.
  5. Step 5: Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

This dish stores well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop.
