Method
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the white sugar, all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Step 3: In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Step 4: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a smooth batter forms. Do not overmix.
- Step 5: Spread about half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle half of the chopped Snickers pieces over the batter.
- Step 6: Carefully spread the remaining batter on top, covering the candy bar pieces.
- Step 7: Bake for about 30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set. A toothpick inserted should come out with moist crumbs.
- Step 8: Immediately after removing from the oven, sprinkle the remaining chopped candy bar pieces over the hot brownies and gently press them in.
- Step 9: Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
Notes
You can substitute other caramel and peanut-filled chocolate bars for Snickers®. For an extra chocolatey punch, add chocolate chips. Drizzle with melted chocolate or caramel sauce after cooling for an extra special touch.
