Method
 

  1. Step 1: Wash and dry the Mason jar thoroughly before starting your project.
  2. Step 2: Add a one-inch layer of decorative pebbles to the bottom of the jar.
  3. Step 3: Spread a thin layer of activated charcoal over the pebbles to help keep the water fresh.
  4. Step 4: Add aquarium substrate or potting soil and gently plant the aquatic plants.
  5. Step 5: Arrange miniature decorations such as shells or figurines around the plants.
  6. Step 6: Slowly pour dechlorinated water into the jar without disturbing the layers.
  7. Step 7: If using fish, wait until the environment is stable before introducing them gently.

Notes

Customize your aquarium with colorful pebbles, themed decorations, or battery-operated LED lights. If using live plants or fish, clean the aquarium every 2–4 weeks by replacing about 25% of the water.
