  • green crayons broken or whole
  • clear plastic sheets or wax paper for the base of the suncatcher
  • scissors for cutting your plastic or wax paper
  • oven or heat source set at a low temperature to melt crayons
  • cookie cutter or stencil (optional) for creating fun shapes
  • parchment paper to cover your suncatcher while it melts

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
  2. Step 2: Break crayons into small pieces.
  3. Step 3: Place a piece of clear plastic or wax paper on a baking sheet.
  4. Step 4: Arrange the green crayon pieces on the plastic or wax paper.
  5. Step 5: Use a cookie cutter or stencil if desired.
  6. Step 6: Cover the crayon pieces with another layer of clear plastic or wax paper.
  7. Step 7: Place the baking sheet in the oven and melt the crayons for about 10-15 minutes.
  8. Step 8: Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
  9. Step 9: Carefully peel the suncatcher from the plastic or wax paper.
  10. Step 10: Hang your green crayon suncatcher in a window.

Store suncatchers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
