- Step 1: In a saucepan, combine the lemon juice, lemon zest, chopped jalapeños, and water. Bring this mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Step 2: Gradually add the granulated sugar, stirring until it is fully dissolved.
- Step 3: Once the sugar is dissolved, stir in the fruit pectin. Bring the mixture back to a rolling boil and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Step 4: Remove the saucepan from heat and let the jelly cool for a few minutes.
- Step 5: Pour the jelly into sterilized jars, leaving a little space at the top for expansion. Seal the jars with lids tightly.
- Step 6: Allow the jelly to cool completely at room temperature before refrigerating.
Notes
Your homemade jelly will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to a few weeks. Make sure to keep it in an airtight container or jar.
