For the Homestyle Steak Meatballs
  • 1 lb ground steak the star of the show
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs for delightful texture
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese adds depth to the flavor
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley for brightness
  • 1 large egg binds everything together
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
For the Vegetables
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for sautéing
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 1 medium onion sliced
  • 1 cup marinara sauce to keep it saucy

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the ground steak, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well combined.
  3. Step 3: Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Step 4: Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
  5. Step 5: While the meatballs are baking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced bell peppers and onion, and sauté until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Step 6: Once the meatballs are done, gently add them to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Pour marinara sauce over the mixture, and let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Step 7: Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can also freeze the meatballs separately for up to 3 months.
