Ingredients

For the Pasta Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour providing structure and flavor
  • 3 large eggs enrich the dough
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt enhances the flavor
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil adds richness
  • Water

Equipment

  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Pasta Machine or Rolling Pin
  • Pot

Method

  1. Step 1: Start by placing the flour on a clean surface or in a large mixing bowl. Make a well in the center of the flour.
  2. Step 2: Crack the eggs into the well, and add the salt and olive oil.
  3. Step 3: Using a fork, gradually incorporate the flour into the eggs. Keep mixing until a dough begins to form.
  4. Step 4: Knead the dough by hand for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  5. Step 5: Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  6. Step 6: After the dough has rested, roll it out using a pasta machine or a rolling pin to your desired thickness.
  7. Step 7: Cut the pasta into your preferred shapes—fettuccine, lasagna sheets, or even ravioli!
  8. Step 8: Cook the pasta in a pot of boiling salted water for 2-4 minutes, depending on the thickness.
  9. Step 9: Drain the pasta and serve it with your favorite sauce.
