Method
- Step 1: Start by placing the flour on a clean surface or in a large mixing bowl. Make a well in the center of the flour.
- Step 2: Crack the eggs into the well, and add the salt and olive oil.
- Step 3: Using a fork, gradually incorporate the flour into the eggs. Keep mixing until a dough begins to form.
- Step 4: Knead the dough by hand for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Step 5: Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Step 6: After the dough has rested, roll it out using a pasta machine or a rolling pin to your desired thickness.
- Step 7: Cut the pasta into your preferred shapes—fettuccine, lasagna sheets, or even ravioli!
- Step 8: Cook the pasta in a pot of boiling salted water for 2-4 minutes, depending on the thickness.
- Step 9: Drain the pasta and serve it with your favorite sauce.
Notes
If you have leftover pasta, you can store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
