  • 1 each beef knuckle approximately 3-4 pounds
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for rubbing
  • 1 tbsp salt to enhance flavors
  • 1 tsp black pepper for seasoning
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder for flavor
  • 1 tbsp onion powder to complement garlic
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika for subtle smokiness
  • 1 tsp dried thyme pairs well with beef
  • 1 cup beef broth to keep meat moist
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Step 2: Pat the beef knuckle dry with paper towels.
  3. Step 3: Rub the olive oil over the meat and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and dried thyme.
  4. Step 4: Place the seasoned beef knuckle in a roasting pan and pour the beef broth around it.
  5. Step 5: Cover the pan with aluminum foil and roast for 2 hours.
  6. Step 6: Remove the foil, increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C), and roast for an additional 30-45 minutes.
  7. Step 7: Let the beef knuckle rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
  8. Step 8: Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place it in the oven at a low temperature.
