Ingredients

For the Garlic Butter Beef
  • 1 lb beef steak sirloin or ribeye
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
For the Steamed Vegetables
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables broccoli, carrots, and bell peppers
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh parsley

Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Pot
  • Tongs

Method

  1. Step 1: Start by seasoning the beef steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Step 2: In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. The aroma will be heavenly!
  3. Step 3: Add the beef steak to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until your desired doneness is reached.
  4. Step 4: In the last minute of cooking, add the minced garlic and the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet. Baste the steak with the garlic butter for that extra flavor.
  5. Step 5: While the steak is cooking, bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the mixed vegetables and steam them for about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Step 6: Drizzle the steamed vegetables with olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Step 7: Once the steak is done, slice it against the grain and serve it on a plate alongside the colorful steamed vegetables.
  8. Step 8: Finish with a sprinkle of chopped parsley for a beautiful presentation.
