Ingredients

For the Honey-Glazed Salmon
  • 2 fillets salmon fresh and skin-on
  • 1.5 tsp Chef Bae All-Purpose Seasoning or substitute with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper mix
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter for searing and richness
  • 2 tbsp honey for sweetening and caramelizing
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce or garlic butter adds depth and umami
  • 1 tsp minced garlic for aroma
  • chopped chives or parsley optional, for garnish

Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Spoon
  • Paper towel

Method

  1. Step 1: Pat salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Sprinkle Chef Bae All-Purpose Seasoning evenly on both sides.
  2. Step 2: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil or butter and heat until hot.
  3. Step 3: Place salmon skin-side down in the skillet. Sear without moving for 4 to 5 minutes until skin is golden and crispy.
  4. Step 4: Flip salmon. Add honey, soy sauce (or garlic butter), and minced garlic around the salmon in the skillet.
  5. Step 5: Use a spoon to baste salmon with the glaze. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until sauce thickens and coats the fish.
  6. Step 6: Remove from heat. Sprinkle chopped chives or parsley on top if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Try substituting maple syrup or brown sugar for honey. Use tamari or coconut aminos for a gluten-free soy sauce alternative. Add a splash of lemon juice or red pepper flakes for extra zing. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge up to 2 days.
