Method
- Step 1: Microwave tortillas between damp paper towels for 20–30 seconds until warm and pliable.
- Step 2: Lay tortillas flat. Spread a layer of mayonnaise and then a layer of Dijon mustard evenly over each tortilla, leaving a small border.
- Step 3: Layer 2 slices of chicken ham and a slice of Swiss cheese in the center of each tortilla, towards the bottom edge.
- Step 4: Fold the sides of the tortilla in towards the center. Starting from the bottom edge, roll tightly upwards into a snug wrap.
- Step 5: Lightly brush the tops and sides of each rolled wrap with melted butter.
- Step 6: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for a couple of minutes.
- Step 7: Carefully place wraps seam-side down in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
- Step 8: Air fry for about 5 minutes, flipping halfway through (after about 2.5 minutes), until golden, crispy, and the cheese is melty.
- Step 9: Carefully remove from the air fryer. Let cool for 1-2 minutes before slicing diagonally (optional) and serving warm.
Notes
Do not skip warming the tortillas; cold tortillas will crack when rolled. Do not overfill the wraps to ensure easy rolling and prevent oozing. Roll the wraps tightly and place seam-side down in the air fryer. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for even cooking and crispiness. These wraps can be assembled ahead of time (up to step 5), covered, and refrigerated for a few hours; brush with butter just before air frying. Store cooled leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes for best results (microwaving will make them soft).
