Ingredients
  

For the Candle Base
  • 1 cup soy wax or beeswax natural and eco-friendly base
  • 10-15 drops essential oils such as citronella, lavender, eucalyptus, or peppermint
  • candle wicks essential for holding the flame
  • containers glass jars or metal tins

Equipment

  • Double Boiler
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Stirring utensil

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Begin by melting the soy wax or beeswax using a double boiler or microwave.
  2. Step 2: Allow the melted wax to cool slightly for about 5 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Add your essential oils to the melted wax and stir well.
  4. Step 4: Secure the candle wick in the center of your chosen container.
  5. Step 5: Carefully pour the wax mixture into the container, ensuring the wick remains centered.
  6. Step 6: Allow the candles to cool and harden completely at room temperature.
  7. Step 7: Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch above the surface of the candle.
  8. Step 8: Your mosquito repellent candles are now ready for use!

Notes

Store candles in a cool, dark place away from sunlight. Reuse leftover wax for future crafting projects.
