Ingredients
  

For the Strawberry Brownies
  • 1 box strawberry cake mix 15.25 oz, base of brownies
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup white chocolate chips optional
For the Strawberry Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp milk or cream to desired consistency
  • 2 tbsp freeze-dried strawberries finely ground

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch pan and line with parchment paper, leaving an overhang.
  2. Step 2: In a large bowl, mix strawberry cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until thick and smooth.
  3. Step 3: Fold in white chocolate chips if using.
  4. Step 4: Spread batter evenly into prepared pan, pressing flat with spatula or fingers.
  5. Step 5: Bake for 20 to 22 minutes until edges are set and center has moist crumbs when poked with a toothpick.
  6. Step 6: Cool brownies completely in pan.
  7. Step 7: Whisk powdered sugar, ground freeze-dried strawberries, and milk or cream until spreadable but not runny.
  8. Step 8: Spread glaze over cooled brownies and allow to set before slicing into squares.

Notes

Swap strawberry cake mix for chocolate or red velvet for different flavors. Use almond or oat milk for dairy-free glaze. Add chopped nuts to batter or top with fresh strawberries or edible flowers for presentation. Store brownies in airtight container at room temperature up to 3 days; refrigerate if warm. Freeze unglazed brownies up to 2 months.
