- Step 1: Prep your cucumbers: Start by slicing your cucumbers. You want them to be about ¼ inch thick, or however you prefer them. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
- Step 2: Dress them up: Pour the ranch dressing over the sliced cucumbers. Give them a gentle toss to make sure every single slice is beautifully coated.
- Step 3: Add the magic: Now, sprinkle in the shredded cheddar cheese, the savory crumbled bacon, the fresh green onions, and those wonderful dried herbs – garlic powder and dill.
- Step 4: Season and stir: Add a pinch of salt and a grind of fresh black pepper. Stir everything together gently but thoroughly. You want all those yummy ingredients to mingle and coat the cucumbers evenly.
- Step 5: Chill or serve: For the best flavor, I like to let this salad chill in the refrigerator for about 10–15 minutes. This allows the flavors to meld together. But honestly, if you're in a hurry, it's absolutely delicious served immediately too!
