- Step 1: In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. This will be your flavorful coating.
- Step 2: In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the lemon juice. This mixture will help the breadcrumbs stick.
- Step 3: Place the breadcrumbs in another shallow bowl, ready for the final coating.
- Step 4: Dredge each chicken tender in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess flour.
- Step 5: Dip the floured tender into the egg mixture, then coat it with the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to make sure they stick.
- Step 6: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until it's hot and shimmering.
- Step 7: Once the oil is ready, add the chicken tenders in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook until they are golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Step 8: Transfer the cooked tenders to a paper towel-lined plate to drain off any excess oil.
- Step 9: Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, and enjoy!
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, bake them in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through to maintain their crispiness.
