  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs for that irresistible crunch
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese adds a rich, savory taste
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs helps bind everything together
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour for that golden crust
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) if you prefer baking the shrimp.
  2. Step 2: In a shallow bowl, mix together breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Step 3: In another bowl, beat the eggs until frothy. Place all-purpose flour in a third bowl.
  4. Step 4: Dredge each shrimp in flour, dip in the beaten eggs, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Step 5: If frying: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry shrimp until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Step 6: If baking: Arrange shrimp on a baking sheet, spray lightly with cooking oil, and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Step 7: Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

These shrimp are best enjoyed fresh, but if you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
