  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp honey
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Equipment

  • Deep Skillet
  • Bowls for Dredging
  • Paper towels

Method

  1. Step 1: In a bowl, soak the shrimp in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Step 2: In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Step 3: In another bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Step 4: Remove shrimp from buttermilk and dredge each piece in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess flour.

  7. Step 7: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey until smooth.
  8. Step 8: Serve the crispy shrimp drizzled with the sauce and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

Store any leftover shrimp in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. For best results, avoid microwaving.
