Creamy Shrimp Alfredo Lasagna

Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp Alfredo Filling
  • 12 pieces lasagna noodles the foundation of our dish
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for sautéing the shrimp and garlic
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream the star of our creamy sauce
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning a blend of herbs to enhance the flavor
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

  • 9x13-inch Baking Dish

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Step 2: Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. Step 3: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and garlic, cooking until the shrimp are pink and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Step 4: Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Step 5: In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of the shrimp Alfredo mixture on the bottom. Layer 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  6. Step 6: Add half of the remaining shrimp Alfredo mixture over the noodles, followed by a layer of mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers, ending with a final layer of noodles topped with the remaining sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  7. Step 7: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Step 8: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh parsley. Serve warm and enjoy every bite!

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. If you want to freeze it, wrap the lasagna tightly in plastic wrap and then aluminum foil. It can be frozen for up to 3 months!
