Ingredients

For the Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts nice and plump for maximum flavor
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for that perfect sear
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream the secret to that creamy texture
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated for that rich, cheesy goodness
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning to bring in those lovely herb flavors
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Equipment

  • Large Skillet

Method

  1. Step 1: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Sear the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  2. Step 2: In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  3. Step 3: Pour in the heavy cream and stir well, scraping up any delicious bits left in the skillet from the chicken. Let it simmer for about 2 minutes.
  4. Step 4: Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
  5. Step 5: Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it with the creamy sauce. Let everything simmer together for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Serve it hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired!

Notes

If you want a lighter version, try using half-and-half instead of heavy cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
