Ingredients
  

For the Pasta
  • 8 oz linguine or spaghetti Choose your favorite pasta
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 Juice of lemon

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Start by cooking the linguine or spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Step 2: In a large skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Step 3: Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn it!
  4. Step 4: Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Season with red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  5. Step 5: Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until it's melted and well combined.
  6. Step 6: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce.
  7. Step 7: Finally, stir in the chopped parsley and lemon juice. Give it a taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  8. Step 8: Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley and Parmesan if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove, adding a splash of cream or water to loosen the sauce.
