Ingredients

For the Creamy Cajun Shrimp Alfredo
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta the perfect base for our creamy sauce
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for sautéing the shrimp
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning for flavor
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream the star of our creamy sauce
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1/2 tsp salt to enhance all the flavors
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper for a hint of spice
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Large Pot

Method

  1. Step 1: Start by cooking the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain it and set it aside.
  2. Step 2: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Cook until the shrimp turns pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Step 3: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn it.
  4. Step 4: Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  5. Step 5: Add the cooked fettuccine and shrimp back into the skillet, tossing to coat evenly with the sauce.
  6. Step 6: Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.
