Ingredients
  

For the Cheesy Shrimp Filling
  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp chopped
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg beaten for egg wash

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Step 2: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet to smooth out any creases.
  3. Step 3: Cut the puff pastry into squares, approximately 4x4 inches in size.
  4. Step 4: In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  5. Step 5: Place a spoonful of the shrimp mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  6. Step 6: Fold the pastry over to create a pocket and press the edges to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative touch.
  7. Step 7: Brush the tops of the pockets with the beaten egg.
  8. Step 8: Place the pockets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Step 9: Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
  10. Step 10: Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These cheesy delights are best enjoyed fresh, but you can store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
