Ingredients
  

For the Caramel Apple Filling
  • 2 cups apples peeled and diced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
For the Pie Bombs
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 oz)
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine the diced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss until the apples are well coated.
  3. Step 3: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  4. Step 4: Place a spoonful of the apple mixture at the wide end of each triangle, followed by a drizzle of caramel sauce.
  5. Step 5: Carefully roll the dough around the filling, starting from the wide end and rolling toward the point. Pinch the edges to seal.
  6. Step 6: In a separate bowl, mix the flour, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until crumbly.
  7. Step 7: Place the rolled pie bombs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle the crumb mixture on top of each bomb.
  8. Step 8: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Step 9: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
  10. Step 10: Serve warm with additional caramel sauce and whipped cream if desired.
