Ingredients
  

For the Cajun Shrimp, Sausage & Chicken Pasta
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb chicken breast diced
  • 8 oz smoked sausage sliced
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 bell pepper chopped
  • 14.5 oz diced tomatoes can
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Step 2: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Add the sliced sausage to the skillet and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  4. Step 4: Stir in the onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Sauté until the vegetables are tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Step 5: Add the shrimp and Cajun seasoning to the skillet. Cook until the shrimp turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Step 6: Stir in the diced tomatoes and heavy cream. Simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  7. Step 7: Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Step 8: Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

This dish can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave, adding a splash of cream or water to loosen the sauce if needed.
