Ingredients

For the Cajun Garlic Shrimp Alfredo Bowties
  • 12 oz bowtie pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Large Pot

Method

  1. Step 1: Start by cooking the bowtie pasta according to the package instructions until it is al dente. Drain it and set aside.
  2. Step 2: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until it becomes fragrant.
  3. Step 3: Next, add the shrimp to the skillet. Season them with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and are fully cooked. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.
  4. Step 4: In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts and the sauce becomes smooth.
  5. Step 5: Add the cooked bowtie pasta and shrimp back into the skillet, tossing everything together to coat in the Alfredo sauce.
  6. Step 6: Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley for a pop of color and flavor.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, simply warm in a skillet over low heat, adding a splash of cream or water to loosen the sauce if needed.
