Method
- Step 1: Start by cooking the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
- Step 2: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Step 3: Add the shrimp to the skillet and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Cook until the shrimp turn pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Once done, remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- Step 4: In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and the heavy cream. Stir to combine and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Step 5: Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Step 6: Add the cooked fettuccine and shrimp back into the sauce, tossing gently to coat everything evenly.
- Step 7: Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley for a fresh touch!
Notes
If you have leftovers (which is often the case), store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave, adding a splash of milk or cream to loosen the sauce if needed.
