Method
- Step 1: Start by preheating a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. You want it nice and hot!
- Step 2: Form the ground beef into four equal balls, and season them generously with salt and pepper.
- Step 3: Add olive oil to the skillet. Once hot, place the beef balls in the skillet and smash them down with a spatula to form patties. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until a lovely crust forms.
- Step 4: Flip the patties, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and gooey.
- Step 5: In a separate small pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the chopped lobster meat and sauté until heated through for about 2-3 minutes.
- Step 6: While the lobster is cooking, toast the burger buns in the remaining butter until golden brown.
- Step 7: Assemble! Place a beef patty on each bun, followed by a generous portion of the sautéed lobster.
- Step 8: Top with fresh lettuce and juicy tomato slices. Add mayonnaise or aioli if you like!
- Step 9: Serve immediately and enjoy the delightful combination of flavors!
Notes
If you find yourself with leftovers (which is rare!), store the components separately in airtight containers. The cooked patties and lobster can be kept in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before serving to enjoy them again!
