For the Beef Stir-fry
  • 8 oz beef sirloin thinly sliced
  • 8 oz noodles e.g., egg noodles or rice noodles
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Start by cooking the noodles according to the package instructions. Once done, drain them and set aside.
  2. Step 2: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Step 3: Add the sliced beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Step 4: In the same skillet, add the bell pepper and broccoli. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  5. Step 5: Add the minced garlic and stir for an additional 30 seconds.
  6. Step 6: Return the beef to the skillet. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water. Pour this mixture over the beef and vegetables.
  7. Step 7: Stir well to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  8. Step 8: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss everything together until evenly coated.
  9. Step 9: Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

This dish is best enjoyed fresh, but you can store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave before serving.
